YOUR TENT IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR CAMPING COMFORT AND ENJOYMENT, AND IF PROPERLY CARED FOR WILL LAST YOU FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT PROPERLY CARING FOR YOUR TENT!

Fabric and the Sun -
It is important to understand that prolonged exposure to the sun will cause UV damage to all fabrics and materials. While we use the highest possible quality materials, and coat them with heavy duty UV Inhibitors, prolonged direct exposure to the sun will damage and ultimately destroy your tent fabric. For this reason, in the camping industry, UV damage is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by warranty. We strongly encourage you to avoid prolonged direct sun exposure, and to take your tent or shelter down when not in use.

Fabric and Moisture - How to Properly Store Your Tent -
It is important to understand the damage that storing a tent wet (or even damp) can cause to your fabric, and the fabric waterproof coatings. Storing a tent when wet or damp will cause the waterproof coating to de-laminate from the tent body and floor fabric. Further, storing a tent wet or damp will cause the factory installed seam tape to peal away from the tent fabric. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to set your tent up in a dry environment after it has gotten wet, and allow it to dry completely before storing it away. Damage caused by storing a wet tent is not covered by warranty.

Fabric and Heat -
Storing a tent in a hot environment (120 degrees F or above) can cause the fabric waterproof coatings and seam tape to de-laminate from the tent fabric. Further, prolonged storage in an extremely hot environment can also cause the colored dye to transfer onto adjacent pieces of material, leaving stains. Some garages and attics can reach daytime temperatures well in excess of 150 degrees F. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to store your tent in a cool area, away from sources of moisture. Damage caused by prolonged exposure to excessive heat is not covered by warranty.

Tent Poles Performance -
Please note that it is common for aluminum tent poles, particularly the longer roof poles that are used on our tents, screen and shade shelters, to develop a slight bend, or "set" over a period of time. This is completely normal and does not in any way reduce the strength of the pole. It is also important to understand that your tent poles can experience up to three times the pressure during set-up or take-down, as during the windiest storms. For this reason we urge you to follow the set-up instructions closely, and avoid excess strain during tent set-up or take-down. Also, to properly protect your tent and tent poles in foul weather, it is critical that you stake and guy the tent using the enclosed ground stakes and guy-lines. Failure to follow this important procedure will void your warranty. Lastly, always store your pole set in its separate pole sack, to prevent damage to the tent fabric, and for easy retrieval during your next set up.
